Hey, what's goin' on?!  Which is what Marvin Gaye wanted to know. In "What's Goin On" he talks about all the things that are goin on in the world today. Such as wars, poverty, and people fighting for equality. With jobs, racism and the ecology, meaning pollution, which has caused global warming and the economy. This song can also be a good poem because of its sound, imagery, and perspective on what's goin on in the world today.
This song has good sound to it because of its repetition and rhyme. Repetition is when you hear the same sound over and over again. In "What's Goin On" the repetition is in the first 2 lines. "Mother Mother Mother, there's to many of u cryin. Brother Brother Brother, there's to many of you dyin." Also, there is rhyme in the pattern AA, BB, CC, ect.
This song also has imagery. Imagery is when you get a mental image of what the singer/writer is talking about. In this song, Marvin Gaye gives an image of people dying, crying, and protesting, along with police brutality.
The perspective of this song gives real insight on our world as it is today. With the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan along with other nations. People protesting and picketing to keep their jobs, racism and police brutality across the country. the global warming situation that has our world in an enegry crisis. And all the discrimanatory factors that make us forget that we all are human with one Creator.
These are the reasons this will make a great poem. The sound has repetition and rhyme, it has great imagery, and it gives you a new perspective on what's goin on.

In Animal Farm, Napoleon lies to the other animals because he wants to stay in control of the farm. He becomes a dictator and makes the other animals work like slaves. First of all, he gets rid of snowball after all the things he did for the other animals. He releases the dogs on him to try to either kick him out the farm or more likely kill him. Then after that he tells Squealer to go out and spread rumors to keep snowball from showing his face around the farm ever again. Not to long after that he goes and changes the amendments of animal farm, and after he breaks them he changes them so he can stay in charge. he has animals killed, he gets drunk, he wears clothes, walks on 2 legs, sleeps in Jones bed, and claims that pigs are the superior animals on the farm. Once all these rules are broken he tells squealer to go to where the amendments are and change them so he can still be in charge and make it seem like he has done nothing wrong. Finally he tricks the other animals that he was a hero and he wants that to be the main reason why they should keep him on the farm. He claims to have been at the Battle of Cowshed, that snowball and jones was working with each other the whole time and the he stopped snowball and jones before they could take over the farm again. also he awards himself with the animal hero 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class. In the end, none of the animals rise up against him. therefore he remains leader of the farm.
