Why Zaroff Values Liberty More Than Equality

Zaroff values liberty way more than equality for these following reasons. he thinks that he is better than other people.  he calls his own kind "savages" while he claims he is "civilized". Also he makes fun of Ivan because he is deaf and dumb.  Secondly he believes that life should only be for the strong.  he states "Life is for the strong, why shouldn't I hunt things that are weaker than i am?"  Finally he hunts people just because he thinks its better than hunting animals.  he hunted a black man who he says was "amusing but not that bright." Also hunts Rainsford because he believes that he would be more of a challenge.  In the end Zaroff would most likely value liberty more than equality because all the stuff he's done.
